Well, Christmas break is officially over!
It's been a great two weeks and I loved spending time with friends and family! I tried to stay warm in Kansas with my husband's family and got to build a little snowman (before my fingers froze completely!)
Here we are at his aunt's house on Christmas Eve!
We had a lot of fun with our friends on New Year's playing Apples to Apples and Heads Up all night! I got to go wedding dress shopping with my best friend who is getting married in June and she looked gorgeous! Also ordered my maid of honor dress, which will be motivation to get back into a regular workout routine!! She gave me a new laptop case for Christmas- she knows me so well with the color and design choices!!!
I also got to see my cousins, who you might remember from this post! We were in Kansas over Christmas, but got to have lunch with them after the new year. Here is a picture of them with my parents opening Christmas presents-
They're so stinking cute and I just love them so much! Also, check out my dad's super creative card, which entitles the boys to lunch and a "field trip" of their choice! (They love the Children's Museum in Houston.) Love my parents, too!
It was a great break and (as usual) I've gotten used to staying up late, sleeping in and wearing pajamas all day!! And, although it's forecasted to be in the 20s until 10:00 am tomorrow, there's no way we're getting a snow day like all the lucky teachers to the north of us! (Speaking of snow days, I loved this blog post that my friend Jennifer shared, definitely some truth in there!!)
I hope you all enjoy your day tomorrow, whether you're stuck in trainings (like me!) or get to see your kiddos or get to sleep in! Stay safe in this crazy, polar blast weather!!
And whatever you're doing tomorrow, be sure to check out the giveaway that my sweet friend Natalie is having over at Teachery Tidbits! Tomorrow is Day 1 with some great prizes, including my January Writing Prompts! Check them out in my store and be sure to enter the giveaway!
