Comparing Numbers Freebie

Hey Friends!

Just popping in to share a fun math activity we did last week in class!  We have wrapped up our place value unit, and are now shifting to comparing and ordering numbers.  I tied these units together by using place value to help my students understand how to compare 2 numbers.

I used this sheet as a partner activity in my classroom while learning about comparing numbers.  Each student got a page of their own.  I had half of my class sit at their desks with a number cube and the other half rotated around the room.  They each took turns rolling the cube and recording their number (rolled it twice to build a 2 digit number), and then drawing the base ten blocks underneath.  Then they compared the numbers and wrote the comparison statements under that.  They did this on their own paper and then again on their partner’s paper.  They had a lot of fun working in partners and there was so much great math talk going on the whole time!!

I am going to make extra copies and place it in a Math Center next week!

  1. PVC pipes are highly resistant to corrosion, making them a popular choice for water and sewage systems in Egypt’s diverse environmental conditions. Compared to metal pipes, pph pipes in Egypt are much lighter, which facilitates easier transportation and installation. This also helps reduce labor costs and time during installation.
